The recent credit crisis and bailout of Wall Street has many of you at home worried, so KOLR10 had a team of experts join us for a special broadcast to help sort out some of your questions including:

How did the economy get so bad?  It seems the only people that get help are the rich.

We keep hearing that banks across the country are tightening up their lending in general.  Is that happening here?  Are local banks still loaning money for homes and cars?

I've heard that consumer credit counseling works with creditors so I can pay off my bills.  But are lenders still open to doing that now that money is tight?  Will that affect my credit score?

What's the current state of the real estate market in our area?  They say it's a buyer's market, so why are some people reluctant to buy?

What if I have a loan pending for a mortgage or a car?  Will I still get it, and is it possible the rate might change?

I have an annuity set up with an insurance company for my grandson that I have raised since he was four years old and he is starting college this fall.  And I was wondering if my money's safe there?

Continuing our Money on Main Street coverage, other questions posed to our panel of experts included:

What if I have terrible credit.  Am I doomed to never owning a home?

Should I sit out this shaky market period?  If I do, when might be a good time to buy or sell?

My house is valued at $225,000.  I still owe probably $40,000 on it.  I have more than enough in the bank to cover the note.  Should I pay off the house or just continue doing what we're doing?

Several financial experts in the Ozarks joined KOLR10 for a special Money on Main Street broadcast and answered questions from our viewers including:

Credit cards can be dangerous if you get in over your head.  But for people wanting a credit card, I guess they're now harder to get?

Is it possible the FDIC may run out of money?
